Learn how to make a scrunchie out of saved from the landfill scraps with FABSCRAP's Spring Featured Designer, Amalya Meira!
About this event:
Join Amalya at her Brooklyn boutique, Lagoon New York to learn how to make a scrunchie entirely out of FABSCRAP scraps! The newest topper to all your spring looks! Learn the basics of crochet while reimagining a FABSCRAP textile into a scrunchy. From chopping & sewing a scrap, to transforming it into a crochet-able vine we will create scrunchies of all widths & colors. This effect works beautifully with brocades, florals, metallics, and even sheers-the more body to the textile the more curly the result! Welcome to the world of Crochet :) All skill levels are welcome. Please bring a hook 8 MM or larger, a needle, and a thread in color of your choosing
